What is Men@Health
Men@Health is a European adult education programme that aims to enhance men’s knowledge, awareness and skills regarding health and well-being.
The project addresses a real need: at European level, men have a lower life expectancy and often less access to preventive care and health education. Through innovative learning tools and digital methods, the programme helps men to better understand their health and develop positive behaviours for their daily lives.
Who is it for?
The project is primarily aimed at:
- Adult men, particularly from vulnerable social groups
- Adult educators and social care professionals
- Adult education and social inclusion organisations
- Policy and social welfare bodies
Programme Objectives
Men@Health aims to:
- Understanding health issues
To raise men’s awareness of their physical and mental health. - Developing wellbeing skills
To cultivate practical skills in the areas of prevention, mental health and work-life balance. - Supporting adult educators
To create tools and methodologies for professionals working with men. - Dissemination of knowledge and good practices
To disseminate the results to organisations and communities at European level.
Project Activities
The main actions include:
- Creation of OER (Open Educational Resources) to engage participants
- Development of a digital educational programme on health and well-being
- Pilot implementation of the programme with groups of men
- Creation of a toolkit for adult educators
- Dissemination and awareness-raising activities at European level.
Expected Results
The project will create:
- A multilingual e-learning platform on men’s health issues
- Training seminars and digital courses
- A toolkit for adult educators
- A network of educational and social care organisations
Impact
