The Supported Living Residence (S.L.R.) “Nefeli” has been operating since September 2011 in Ilion.
It can accommodate up to six adults (men and women) over the age of 18 with Intellectual Disability, Autism, or Down Syndrome, with the main goal of providing a warm and family-like environment in safe living conditions, when the family faces difficulties or is unable to provide care.
Its central location within the Municipality of Ilion, integrated into the local community, offers direct access to community life, promoting social inclusion and the daily participation of residents in recreational and educational activities outside the residence.
The residents of the facility are supported on a 24-hour basis by a scientific team, consisting of the structure’s coordinator – a psychologist, a social worker, an occupational therapist, and specially trained caregivers.
The scientific team is further supported by external collaborators: a psychiatrist, a general practitioner, a lawyer, and a nutritionist.
Together, and each one individually, we aim for personalized intervention based on each person’s needs, abilities, and preferences.
Our ultimate goal is to achieve the highest possible level of functionality and, consequently, to ensure a high quality of daily life within the community.
