Project Websitehttps://priscillaproject.eu/

The project aims to equip young men and women with intellectual disabilities with the necessary skills to protect themselves from the risk of sexual harassment in the digital space, whilst at the same time enabling them to reap the benefits of ICT and social media. This group is at increased risk of sexual harassment due to various factors, such as:

  • Limited opportunities for sexual and digital education.
  • Difficulty in recognising abusive or inappropriate behaviour.
  • Lower cognitive and social skills, particularly in the online environment.
  • Difficulty interpreting ambiguous social cues online.

The project recognises the need to strengthen their protection by providing them with appropriate tools and knowledge, whilst at the same time empowering their autonomy in the digital world.

Target Groups of the Project:

Young people with intellectual disabilities

Staff working with young people with disabilities

Stakeholders in the youth and social care sectors, such as:

Organisations

Policy-makers at national and European level
