Developing a Sexual Education Model for Mentally Disabled People

Project Period: September 2018 – November 2020

Objective: To create a sexual education model for people with intellectual disabilities, in order to enhance sexual education, social inclusion and the development of personal and professional skills.

Results: Provision of tools and resources for the education of people with intellectual disabilities in sexual education and promotion of their social inclusion through skills development via actions such as:

  • Development of open educational resources for professionals and family members of people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Collaboration between organisations from six different countries (Greece, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Turkey) to develop the model.
