Objective: To develop a methodology based on improvisation techniques (Improv) for the professional support of people with mental health conditions in coping with social rejection.

Results: The training programme, which incorporated elements of psychological therapies and third-wave techniques applied in improvisational theatre, was jointly developed by a team of psychologists and researchers from the Department of Psychology at the University of Maribor (UM) and a transnational team of expert performers and trainers specialising in improvisation.
