Concept and Implementation<\/b><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Panhellenic Football Championship for Mental Health<\/b> is an initiative developed by <\/span>K.S.D.E.O. EDRA<\/b> and the <\/span>Hellenic Football Federation (HFF)<\/b>.<\/span>
\n<\/span>It forms part of the Federation\u2019s <\/span>social development program \u201cSame Field\u201d<\/b>, a key component of the six-year national plan <\/span>\u201cFootball Everywhere\u201d<\/b>, approved by <\/span>UEFA<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nThe Collaboration<\/b><\/p>\n

The idea for the Championship originated from the earlier partnership between the two organizations during the <\/span>1st European Sports Event for Mental Health<\/b>, organized by <\/span>EDRA<\/b> in Athens in <\/span>2018<\/b>.<\/span>
\n<\/span>That successful collaboration laid the foundation for ongoing initiatives that promote <\/span>mental health through sport<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nProgram Value<\/b><\/p>\n

The Championship aims to encourage <\/span>active participation and social inclusion<\/b> of people living with mental health conditions through <\/span>football<\/b>, the world\u2019s most popular sport.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Through this annual event, it promotes <\/span>physical exercise<\/b>, <\/span>mental well-being<\/b>, and <\/span>community connection<\/b>, while raising public awareness and combating the <\/span>stigma<\/b> associated with mental illness.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Championship provides a national platform that showcases the <\/span>positive impact of exercise, teamwork, and collaboration<\/b> on mental health, while fostering a culture of inclusion and understanding across society.<\/span><\/p>\n

Annual Championships<\/b><\/p>\n

1st Panhellenic Football Championship for Mental Health (2019)<\/b><\/p>\n

Organized by <\/span>EDRA<\/b> and the <\/span>Hellenic Football Federation (HFF)<\/b> in <\/span>September 2019<\/b>, the first Championship brought together <\/span>20 teams<\/b> from mental health organizations across Greece, including <\/span>182 service users<\/b> and <\/span>mental health professionals<\/b>.<\/span>
\n<\/span>The initiative received national recognition, winning distinctions at the <\/span>Bravo Awards<\/b> (\u201cBravo in Action\u201d category) and the <\/span>Event Awards<\/b>, where it earned the <\/span>Bronze Award<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n2nd Panhellenic Football Championship for Mental Health (2022)<\/b><\/p>\n

Held from <\/span>19 to 21 September 2022<\/b> at the <\/span>Municipal Stadium of Voula<\/b>, the second Championship featured <\/span>19 teams<\/b> from across Greece, with approximately <\/span>90 participants<\/b> and <\/span>60 professionals<\/b>.<\/span>
\n<\/span>This event was honored at the <\/span>Sports Marketing Awards 2023<\/b>, further enhancing the Championship\u2019s reputation as an important initiative promoting mental health through sport.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n3rd Panhellenic Football Championship for Mental Health (2023)<\/b><\/p>\n

The third Championship continued the strong tradition, hosting <\/span>20 mental health organizations<\/b> and <\/span>183 participants<\/b> \u2014 both service users and professionals \u2014 in a celebration of inclusion and teamwork.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n4th Panhellenic Football Championship for Mental Health (2024)<\/b><\/p>\n

Held on <\/span>16, 17 and 18 September 2024<\/b>, the fourth Championship once again highlighted the significance of sport in promoting mental health and social reintegration for people supported by mental health services.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n5th Panhellenic Football Championship for Mental Health (2025)<\/b><\/p>\n

The <\/span>fifth Championship<\/b> is scheduled for <\/span>24, 25 and 26 November 2025<\/b>, promising another powerful event dedicated to inclusion, empowerment, and the benefits of sport for mental well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Celebration of Team Spirit and Mental Well-Being<\/b><\/p>\n

Each year, participants look forward to giving their best, promoting the sense of <\/span>joy, teamwork, and empowerment<\/b> that football inspires.<\/span>
